David Guetta has won the BRIT Award for Producer of the Year and Kid Harpoon for Songwriter of the Year. The rest of the winners will be revealed Saturday, 2/11.
Guetta receives the honor following a number of hit singles, including platinum-sellers “Remember” with Becky Hill, “Crazy What Love Can Do” with Hill and Ella Henderson and U.K. #1 and global hit “I’m Good (Blue)” with Bebe Rexha. The latter is up for the BRIT for International Song of the Year. Guetta will perform at Saturday night’s ceremony in London.
Harpoon won the songwriter award for co-writing Harry Styles' Grammy-winning Harry’s House, which Harpoon also co-produced. The set was the biggest- and fastest-selling album in the U.K. last year, while lead track “As It Was,” co-written by Harpoon, was the biggest-selling single. It has generated more than 2b global streams to date.
