Death Row Records and Snoop Dogg have partnered with TikTok's SoundOn program to reintroduce the label's catalog. Snoop and Larry Jackson, who acquired the catalog in 2022, decided to temporarily remove it from DSPs while they ironed out the details.
For roughly one week before the catalog's DSP release, fans can gain early access to such songs as Snoop Dogg's "Gin & Juice," 2Pac's "2 of Amerika's Most Wanted" and Lady of Rage's "Afro Puffs."
"Since I took Death Row off streaming almost a year ago, not a day goes by without people asking me to put it back up," Snoop said. "As the Super Bowl rolled around, I knew fans would be looking for the music from our iconic performance in 2022, so I wanted to reintroduce the most historic catalog to the people. I reached out to the folks at TikTok to make more history."
Creators will also be able to access an exclusive playlist co-curated with Death Row via the TikTok Sounds Page. Now, if you'll excuse us, it's time to rock rough and stuff.
