ZIMMERMAN FINDS HIS HOME AT RANGE

Joel Zimmerman, who's been credited with helping drive the electronic-music boom by using social platforms to reach new global fan bases, has joined Range Media Partners as a partner in the company's music division. He'll focus on long-term career strategy, creative development, crossover positioning, branding, IP and global touring.

“Joel has consistently managed to cut through the noise—and competition—by landing clients lucrative touring, club and festival deals as well as crossing them into other entertainment arenas," said Range CEO Peter Micelli. "His groundbreaking work has created new pathways and platforms that break future stars and legitimize new genres."

Zimmerman spent 13 years at WME, where he represented such clients as Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, 88rising, Steve Lacy, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Psy, Kygo, Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5. He founded Division One Talent in 2006 and notably signed The Weeknd in the early 2010s. He was also instrumental in introducing DJ residencies to Las Vegas casinos.
