PARLOPHONE TEAM GROWS

Sam Palm, Grace O’Neill, Mark Mitchell and Jack Melhuish are seen (l-r) prior to a vicious pinball grudge match.

Parlophone Records has bolstered its team with a number of key promotions and hires, including the elevation of Jack Melhuish to GM and the addition of four new A&R staffers.

Melhuish joined the Warner U.K. label in 2018 as director of Marketing, Partnerships and Strategy. Since then, he’s led campaigns for Ashnikko, Coldplay, David Guetta, Gabriels, Gorillaz, Kano, PinkPantheress and Sam Ryder.

Melhuish will report to Parlophone Co-Presidents Nick Burgess and Mark Mitchell. The latter called him "one of the most dynamic and culturally insightful marketing executives in the industry today" and said, "His natural ability to understand artist positioning, narrative and the streaming ecosystem make him an invaluable asset.”

Arina Logacheva, Molly McNulty and Seb Smith have been appointed senior A&R managers. Jason Ngimbi has been brought in as a junior A&R manager.

Logacheva joins the team from Universal Music, where she was a senior A&R manager, based in Germany. McNulty moves to Parlophone after seven years at Kobalt Music Publishing, where she was most recently a senior A&R manager. Smith was previously at Believe Music. Ngimbi was junior A&R manager at BMG.

Said Burgess: "Each one of them is an inspiring A&R, with excellent taste and a depth of musical knowledge that will bring an abundance of diverse and vibrant energy to the label.”

Parlophone has also promoted Grace O’Neill and Sam Palm to head of Radio and head of Insight, respectively. Palm will now oversee the newly created Insight department, where he'll augment the work he’s been doing as the label’s Streaming lead, incorporating more extensive audience data to provide enhanced analysis and value to artist campaigns.
