TEMS INKS WITH CAA

CAA has welcomed Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Tems to its roster.

Tems has been on an upward trajectory since breaking out with WizKid's 2020 single "Essence." Last month she won her first Grammy, in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for her feature on Future and Drake’s #1 hit “WAIT FOR U"—Tems is the first Nigerian artist to hit #1. She was also nominated for AOTY for her contributions to Beyoncé's RENAISSANCE.

Tems is likewise the first Nigerian artist to be nominated for an Academy Award, for her work on the Rihanna single “Lift Me Up,” featured on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Additional accolades include two NAACP Image Awards, two BET Awards, two American Music Awards, a Soul Train Music Award, the Silver Clef Award for Best International Act and BMI's Impact Prize.

This year she will release her debut album through Sony/RCA and embark on her first worldwide headlining tour as well as play various festival dates.

Something tells us Tems isn't "waiting" for anyone—she's well on her way. Meanwhile, we're still in our pajamas.
