THE OFFSPRING PREVAIL IN LEGAL BATTLE VS. EX-DRUMMER

Longtime King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano LLP client The Offspring has prevailed in a court battle against its former drummer, Ron Welty. In his failed lawsuit, Welty claimed he was owed millions from the band's $35m 2015 catalog sale to Round Hill.

Welty had also sought payment from lead singer Dexter Holland's $15m publishing sale. Founding members Noodles (lead guitarist, pictured to the right of Holland) and Greg K. (bassist) issued statements to the judge confirming that Holland was the sole writer of the band's music.

Judge William H. Fahey sided with The Offspring against all claims on 3/6, ruling that the rights deals were fair according to industry standards.

News that attorney John Snowwho joined KHPS in 2020—returned to the Night's Watch following the ruling couldn't be confirmed at press time.
