OSCAR (AND SNL) MUSIC, DOWNLOADED

A few Oscar moments moved the needle at iTunes. Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand" (from Interscope's Top Gun: Maverick ST) flew to #3 (with a separate "single" version at #18), while the album soared into the Top 10. Rihanna's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever track "Lift Me Up" (Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam/Hollywood), which was presented as a tribute to fallen Panther star Chadwick Boseman, ascended to #5.

Lenny Kravitz's "Calling All Angels," first issued as part of his 2004 album Baptism (Virgin) and performed during the Oscars' In Memoriam segment, was resurrected at #6.

Oscar Best Song winner "Naatu Naatu," the frenetic dance number from India's historical/action epic RRR (Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited/Lahari), fought its way to #17.

In other TV/iTunes news, Dirty Hit's The 1975 enjoyed a bump in single sales after its Saturday Night Live appearance; "I'm in Love With You" has romanced its way to #8, while "Oh Caroline" has secured a sweet berth at #21.

How long will this weekend TV-halo effect last? We'll let you know. In the meantime, keep working on those "Naatu Naatu" moves.
