DOUBLE DUTY FOR COSLOV

Alex Coslov has been promoted to the dual role of EVP of marketing strategy for Republic and head of marketing for Mercury.

The announcement, made jointly by Republic Co-President Jim Roppo and Mercury President Tyler Arnold, arrives on the heels of Morgan Wallen's monster #1 bow with One Thing at a Time (Big Loud), for which Coslov oversees marketing on behalf of House Lipman.

Coslov has also led campaigns for Glass Animals, Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, Greta Van Fleet, Florence + The Machine, Noah Kahan, James Blake, Yung Gravy and more under the Republic and Mercury umbrella.

Said Roppo, “Alex intimately understands his artists at a core level. He speaks their language and immerses himself in their respective worlds for every single release. This is his superpower. By doing so, he develops innovative campaigns that reflect the artists' identities and engage audiences from a fresh perspective. It’s an honor to announce his promotion.”

Arnold added, “We are thrilled to officially welcome Alex to the Mercury family. We cannot wait to shape this next chapter of Mercury Records together.”

“When people ask what sets Republic apart, the answer is pretty simple—Monte, Avery, Wendy and Jim are the true Republic difference," said Coslov. "Jim is my mentor, and it is a privilege to call him that. I value his leadership, counsel and knowledge over anyone. Tyler and [Mercury GM] Ben [Adelson] are two of the smartest, most accomplished and thoughtful executives I've ever worked with.”

Given his new responsibilities, it's estimated that Coslov will be sending twice as many calls from us to voicemail.
