BTS' BOFFO BOX OFFICE

The BTS film that arrived in theaters on the heels of the K-pop superstars’ hiatus announcement has cracked the $53m mark at the global box office.

BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas, presented by HYBE, CJ 4DPlex and Trafalgar Releasing, has played in more than 5,817 cinemas in 128 territories since 2/1. The U.S.—where it has made more than $8m—Japan and Mexico have been the top-performing countries.

Naturally delighted to see the film perform so well, Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby said, “This figure is testament to the group and the ongoing dedication of the audiences and a credit to the international partnerships that made this landmark cinema event possible.”

Recorded in front of a sold-out crowd in Busan, South Korea, in October, BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas is HYBE and Trafalgar’s fifth global title with the K-pop icons.
