ONE FINE BOOMBASTIC DAY

Sting and Shaggy will co-headline the One Fine Day Festival 9/9 at The Mann in Philly’s Fairmount Park. This marks the only time the two—both managed by Cherrytree CEO Martin Kierszenbaum—will perform together in the U.S. this year. The bill also includes Thundercat, Tank and The Bangas, G. Love & Special Sauce, Koffee and Giordana Angi.

The One Fine Day Festival, curated by Sting and Shaggy, continues the duo’s collaborative relationship, which started in 2018 with “Don't Make Me Wait" and fully flowered on that year's full-length 44/876.

“I love how Shaggy and I effortlessly push each other to the creative edges,” Sting said. “After having made the 44/876 album together and recording [a 2022] album of Frank Sinatra covers in a reggae style, a day of hits and musical adventures in one of our favorite cities seemed like the next illogical step.”

Shaggy added, “Sting is a catalyst for musical curiosity. When we collaborate, we combine our musical tastes, individual cultures and a sense of wonder. We wanted to invite some of our favorite musicians to gather in real time and share that very vibe at One Fine Day.”

The pair is also expected to perform their biggest hits as individuals and with bandmates, including "Every Breath You Take," "Englishman in New York," "Message in a Bottle," "It Wasn’t Me," "Boombastic" and "Angel."
