Post Malone’s next album for Mercury/ Republic, Austin, is scheduled for a 7/28 release. The first single, “Mourning,” hits DSPs on Friday (5/19).
Malone announced the album via Instagram, saying it’s the most “challenging and rewarding music” of his career. He also noted that he titled it for his given name, not the capitol of Texas.
The artist likewise proclaimed his return to North America with the 24-date If Y'all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying Tour, which starts on 7/8 in Noblesville, Indiana, at Ruoff Music Center and wraps 8/19 at San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheater. Live Nation is producing the tour. Ticket pre-sales start Wednesday (5/17).
Currently on the road in Europe, Malone recently shot the video for “Mourning” in Scotland. We hope to see bagpipes, tin whistles and kilts, but we may be getting a little carried away with ourselves.
