U.K. CHARTS: EUROVISION RULES

For the first time since Eurovision was launched in 1956, four tracks from the competition have entered the U.K.’s Official Singles Top 10. Over on albums, Ed Sheeran remains king.

After winning Eurovision on Saturday, Swedish artist Loreen is #2 with “Tattoo” (Polydor). Runner-up “Cha Cha Cha” (Warner) by Finland’s Käärijä is #6. U.K. entry “I Wrote a Song” (Capitol) by Mae Muller is up 36 places to #9, while “Queen of Kings” (Universal) from Norway’s rep, Alessandra, is new at #10.

Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding, meanwhile, claim a sixth week at #1 with “Miracle” (Columbia), which has tallied over 5.1m streams in the last seven days.

On the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran’s Subtract (Atlantic) is #1 for a second week.

Today’s highest new entry is the debut from rapper Potter Payper, Real Back in Style (0207 Def Jam), at #2.

Jonas Brothers have their fourth Top 10, with The Album (Polydor) at #3. Brighton band Lovejoy has its first Top 10, with EP Wake Up & It’s Over (Anvil Cat) at #5.

The first solo record from Alison Goldfrapp, Invention (Skint), is #6. Good Lies (XL) by Overmono is also new, at #11.
