RED BULL RECORDS GETS MORE WINGS

Clockwise from top left: Chris Goins, Rachael Hardway, Steph Jones, Kelsi Ring, Cody Plumlee and Chukwudi Obi

Red Bull Records has welcomed six hires in A&R, creative and marketing, accounting for 20% of its staff.

Joining the label are Project Director, Marketing Chris Goins, Director of Digital Marketing Rachael Hardway, Manager, Global Digital Account Steph Jones, Director of Publishing Creative Chukwudi Obi, Senior Project Manager, Creative Cody Plumlee and Director of Publicity and Communications Kelsi Ring.

“Coming off our most successful year, we were motivated to keep the momentum going into 2023 and beyond," said Red Bull Records Managing Director Greg Hammer. "Already in Q1, we’ve released chart-topping hits from Blxst and Beartooth and announced albums by Albert Hammond Jr., The Aces, and Flawes, with more to come. As our roster continues to evolve, it’s important for us to mirror that growth internally by bringing fresh and diverse perspectives to the table."

Goins, who comes from Mass Appeal Records, where he worked with Nas, Swizz Beatz and Juicy Couture, will oversee campaigns for emerging artists like Jugger, Peter $un and Jay Millian. Hardway will take charge of digital and social strategies. She was previously at Saban Music and Sony Music/Records, where she developed marketing strategies for 24kGoldn, Noah Cyrus and LSD (Labrinth, Sia and Diplo).

Jones, meanwhile, will be responsible for pitching and delivering the label’s releases to digital platforms such as SoundCloud and YouTube. She honed her chops during four years at Stem, where she managed operations for labels Avant Garden (Emotional Oranges), Taylor Gang (Wiz Khalifa) and Big Loud (HARDY). Hallwood Media alum Obi will sign talent to the label's publishing roster and create opportunities for its current stable, while Plumlee will run creative for campaign materials. His experience includes initiatives for Paramount+ and a seven-year stint at Capitol Music Group working with artists like Katy Perry and Halsey.

Last but not least, Ring, who most recently worked at electronic label Monstercat, will run PR and corporate communications. We assume we'll be left in the dark as usual.
