INTERSCOPE GROOVES WITH AFTERLIFE

Anyma’s “Welcome to the Opera” f/Grimes is the first release under a new deal between Interscope Records and Afterlife, the label founded by Anyma and MRAK’s electronic music duo Tale of Us.

Interscope will release Anyma’s debut album and distribute Afterlife’s future recordings and catalog.

Afterlife has released music since 2016, including Endless, the debut album from Tale of U—Carmine Conte (MRAK) and Matteo Milleri (Anyma)—via UMG classical label Deutsche Grammophon.

“Over their tremendous careers as artists and label owners, Carmine and Matteo have helped shape dance music culture for an entire generation,” said IGA ruler John Janick. “We're excited to collaborate with them to bring their music to an even larger global audience.”

A&R exec Ryan Roy was instrumental in bringing the duo to Interscope.

Tale of Us managers Aurelia Ortiz and Evan Baker commented: “The partnership signifies not just the incredible growth and recognition Tale of Us’ music has achieved but the aspiration and love for electronic music that Matteo and Carmine are so passionate about.”

“Welcome to the Opera” has been a staple of Anyma and Tale of Us sets over the past year. Anyma’s debut album is expected later this year.
