NEIL YOUNG TAKES A SOLO JOURNEY

Bust out the fireworks, Angelenos! Neil Young will play a four-night stand in July at the John Anson Ford Theatre, kicking off a run of solo acoustic West Coast shows.

Young will play The Ford 7/1-2 and 7/4-5 before heading to Santa Barbara, Paso Robles and San Diego. He'll return to L.A. to play The Greek Theatre on 7/13.

The current, Live Nation-promoted run will end 7/23 in Napa, but more dates are expected to be announced. Chris Pierce is the opening act.

Young told members of the Neil Young Archives that he’ll be playing songs he’s never performed live, among them the Pearl Jam collaboration “Song X,” “Prime of Life” from 1994’s Sleeps With Angels and the Trans outtake “If You Got Love.”

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday (6/14). Young is collaborating with the venues ticketed by Ticketmaster to make sure tickets can only be resold at their original price.
