Warner Music Group has made its first foray into game publishing, joining forces with Swedish studio Hello There Games to release Invector: Rhythm Galaxy.
Invector: Rhythm Galaxy is a narrative-driven game set to a soundtrack of 40 hit songs by such artists as Charlie Puth, PinkPantheress and Duran Duran.
"This venture into gaming showcases our commitment to reimagining the boundaries of music and how it's defined by artists and fans alike within our evolving ecosystem,” said WMG Chief Digital Officer and EVP, Business Development Oana Ruxandra. “Invector: Rhythm Galaxy intertwines the power of music with the interactivity of gaming to build active, immersive experiences for fans and new revenue streams for WMG artists."
Invector: Rhythm Galaxy will be available 7/14, first on PC. It should be popular among the HITS staff despite our lack of two qualities: gaming skills and rhythm.
