River House/Columbia Nashville star Luke Combs was surprised Thursday (6/8) with a plaque marking diamond certification of “Beautiful Crazy” during the Bootleggers Fan Club Party preceding his headlining CMA Fest set at Nissan Stadium. The single becomes only the sixth country song to sell 10m copies.
Seen shortly before another surprise (a shock, really), our impromptu karaoke rendition of “Fast Car,” are (l-r) Sony Music Nashville SVP, Commercial Partnerships Caryl Atwood, EVP & COO Ken Robold, Combs, SMN EVP, Promotion & Artist Development Steve Hodges, songwriter Rob Williford, SMN SVP, A&R Taylor Lindsey, Chairman & CEO Randy Goodman and VP, Marketing Liz Cost.
