WHO'S THAT WITH KG?

Our own Karen Glauber recently made the brave decision to leave her home, with its easy access to snacks and reality television, and travel across the country in order to hobnob with some biz biggies at the recent T.J. Martell NYC Honors Gala funding innovative cancer research.

The event, at Cipriani 42nd Street, raised north of $1.3m while honoring Warner Co-Chairman COO Tom Corson, Def Jam Chief Creative Officer and EVP Archie Davis and Monument co-boss/songwriter-producer Shane McAnally. Co-chairs of the shindig were John Esposito, Tunji Balogun, Aaron Bay-Schuck, Robert Carlton, Steve Gawley, Laura Swanson and Julie Swidler. Josh Groban, Kristin Chenoweth and Omar Apollo were among the performers.

Here are a few mementos of that foray, which are sure to live in Karen's heart forever.

KG quizzes Corson (who received the Lifetime Music Industry Award) about the possibility of an all-star tribute to Robert Fripp's Exposure.

Republic boss Monte Lipman extended his capacious marketshare to the dessert table.

"Touching knuckles is so post-pandemic," remarks S-Curve boss Steve Greenberg. Meanwhile, A&R dude Steve Yegelwel softly hummed the melody to "Girl You Know It's True."

Shortly after this stately tableau was captured, Sony Music EVP Business Affairs and General Counsel Julie Swidler, Karen and RECORDS boss Barry Weiss celebrated the 50th anniversary of hip-hop by krumping vigorously.

RCA promo co-chief Keith Rothschild reveals that sometimes he and Nipper sit down and just, like, shoot the breeze. Later, Karen gave Keith a biscuit.
