STAR-SPANGLED SPOTIFY

Spotify's USA Top 50 is looking a lot more "USA" than usual.

As of Wednesday (7/5), key Fourth of July playlists have powered a brace of 'Merican titles into the upper reaches of the chart, including Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." (currently #4), Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." (#8), Tom Petty's "American Girl" (#11) and Don McLean's quintessential 1971 anthem, "American Pie" (#15).

Toby Keith ("Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," #17), Katy Perry ("Firework," #18), Lynyrd Skynyrd ("Sweet Home Alabama," #26), John Denver ("Take Me Home, Country Roads," #42) and Kenny Chesney ("American Kids," #44) also benefited from the Independence Day bump, though some of the aforementioned songs are a bit more regional.

Feel free to review one or more of the playlists driving this activity while we continue trying to calm our Chihuahua.
