FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

The fourth album from Canadian songwriter Colter Wall and the debut studio set from Lauren Spencer Smith lead the new arrivals at iTunes this Flipover Friday while BTS’s Jung Kook leads a crew of rookies at songs.

Wall’s Little Songs (La Honda/RCA) opens at #2 while Upchurch’s Blue Gene’s (Luce-N-Up) steps in at #3. Spencer Smith’s Mirror (Island/Republic) follows at #4.

Besides taking the five spot at iTunes albums, King Von’s Grandson (Only the Family/Empire) is the top new arrival at Apple Music, opening there at #6.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’s Sticks and Stones (6 Ace/Thirty Tigers) harvests the #6 slot. K-Pop act Loona/Odd Eye Circle is #7 with Odd Eye Circle EP (Kakao); Dirty HeadsMidnight Control (Better Noise) dials in #9; and PVRISEvergreen (Hopeless) sprouts at #10. The catalog release Evenings at the Village Gate: John Coltrane with Eric Dolphy (Impulse!/UMe), is just outside the Top 10.

Jung Kook & Latto’s “Seven” (BIGHIT) #1 and #2 at iTunes songs with the instrumental version at #4.

Other new arrivals: City Girls & JT’s “No Bars” (QC/Motown) at #5; Billie Eilish’s track from the Barbie movie, “What Was I Made For?” (Darkroom/Interscope) is #7; and Troye Sivan’s “Rush” (Capitol), the first track released from his upcoming Something to Give Each Other album, is #10.
