2PAC MURDER INVESTIGATION GETS NEW LIFE

There's been some movement in the September 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. The hip-hop icon was shot at the intersection of East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas shortly after leaving the Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. He died six days later at the University of Nevada Medical Center, and the case has remained unsolved for nearly three decades. But on Tuesday (7/18), the Las Vegas Police Department revealed they are still actively investigating the homicide.

“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation,” police told ABC News. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

It appears Shakur's family was kept in the dark. His sister Set Shakur told TMZ, "We are learning about the case the same way you are and have nothing to say."

South Side Compton Crips gang member Orlando Anderson became investigators' primary suspect, but he was never charged. Anderson was fatally shot in a drive-by in 1998. Shakur was just 25 at the time of his death.
