RIFKIND & LAFFITTE JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT LOUDER

LOUD Records founder Steve Rifkind and Laffitte Management Group's Ron Laffitte have launched a new management company under the LMG umbrella. The deal includes Rifkind's Spring Sound record label, which Laffitte will now co-own.

Laffitte will also produce a massive LOUD Records tour in 2024, which will mimic the magic of the LOUD showcase at the BET Hip Hop Awards last year. Artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Fat Joe, Three 6 Mafia, Akon, David Banner, Lil Flip, M.O.P.—many of whom performed during the annual awards ceremony—are expected to be on the bill along with several SRC artists.

“Ron and I have been friends for close to 30 years," Rifkind tells us. "We had the same philosophy—family first. Even though we come from two different genres, our love for music is what put us on the same path. Our love for music and love for people brought us together, that and our mutual disdain for HITS. I feel he’s the best manager in the game by far.”

When asked for comment, Laffitte replied, "What’s the score on the Dodgers game?"
