OF ETHICS AND AI: BANDLAB ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR HUMAN ARTISTRY CAMPAIGN

BandLab has become the first music-creation platform to formally announce its support of the Human Artistry CampAIgn, the initiative dedicated to protecting human expression in the age of AI. The announcement came onstage at the global AI conference Ai4.

BandLab CEO/co-founder Meng Ru Kuok made the announcement during his presentation, “Augmenting the Artist: How AI Is Redefining Music Creation and Innovation.” In addition to voicing support for HAC, Meng’s talk underscored BandLab’s investment in ethical AI training and development.

HAC now has 150 global members working to ensure the ethical application of AI in the creative sphere. You can read more about the org here, including its seven "Core Principles for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Support of Human Creativity and Accomplishment."

BandLab, which boasts north of 60m registered users, has seen a 15-fold spike in music created with its AI tools over the last 12 months.
