MAUI: HOW YOU CAN HELP

As you’ve doubtless heard, wildfires have ravaged the west side of the Hawaiian island of Maui, resulting in enormous losses of life and property. Our sympathies are with everyone affected by this disaster—especially the residents of the historic coastal town of Lahaina, which was devastated.

As of 8/13, wildfires in the Lahaina area were estimated to be only 85% contained. The current death toll stands at 96, and with as many as 2,700 structures, most of them homes, decimated, thousands of residents are without shelter and other essentials.

In response to this urgent need, the Hawaii Community Foundation has created the Maui Strong Fund, with 100% of donations going to rapid response, recovery and helping rebuild Maui's way of life, which has been forever altered.

Below is a list of organizations working to provide assistance to those affected by the fires. For more information, visit MauiNuiStrong.info.
