SKYE'S THE LIMIT

We Are Moving the Needle, a nonprofit working to close the gender gap in the recording studio, has appointed Skye Landgraf as its first director of partnerships and programs. She'll be based in Washington D.C. and report to We Are Moving the Needle founder Emily Lazar.

In the newly created role, Landgraf will oversee the org's growth through the expansion of its core programs, including scholarship initiatives and college chapters, as well as its annual "Fix the Mix Report."

“In just two years, WAMTN has already made a difference in the careers of women and non-binary people pursuing careers behind the boards, but we still have much work to do,” Lazar said. “Bringing in Skye, who has a decade of experience in the nonprofit world, deep knowledge of music and commitment to gender inclusivity and equity, will allow us to make an even bigger impact on our industry.”

Landgraf comes with considerable fundraising chops, ranging from alumni engagement and individual giving to corporate and foundation partnerships. She previously served as the director of institutional advancement for the American Association of University Women and was associate director, foundation relations at George Washington University.
