Jacob Fain, who brought Bailey Zimmerman to Elektra, has been promoted to EVP/head of A&R. He will continue to be based in Los Angeles, reporting to Elektra President Gregg Nadel.
“Jake is a standout A&R with incredible, creative instincts shaped by years of experience,” Nadel said. "He has an innate ability to form genuine, meaningful relationships and has helped our artists at every stage of their careers articulate their visions and surpass their potential.”
Fain has nearly two decades of A&R experience, having previously signed The Chainsmokers, Leon Bridges and Of Monsters and Men while at Sony Music Publishing. He likewise worked in A&R at Republic Records and marketing at RCA Records.
At Elektra, he also shepherded Masked Wolf’s breakout single, “Astronaut in the Ocean.”
