Word has it that some high-ranking Recording Academy execs—and erstwhile studio pros—have been frustrated that they’re not getting more work. These players believed they'd be able to leverage their positions at the institution in a much more substantial way with awards season getting underway. This would seem to mark another credibility gap in Grammyland, but wait: Certain parties have made the hiring of some of these pros a part of their Grammy campaigns.
