ACADEMY OPENS QUINN COLEMAN SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Grammy Museum and Recording Academy are now accepting applications for the second annual Quinn Coleman Memorial Scholarship. The Academy’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team will be tasked with selecting college students aspiring to careers in the music industry or related creative fields.

Five recipients will be chosen to collaborate with The Grammy Museum, Recording Academy and affiliated Academy chapters. They will also receive two $1,000 scholarships for tuition, a $500 stipend for interview preparation, two $250 stipends for books and equipment, funding to invest in personal portfolios and a spring internship at the Recording Academy or Latin Recording Academy.

Named after DJ-executive Quinn Coleman, who died at 31 in August 2020, the scholarship aligns with the Recording Academy DEI department's mission to "eliminate barriers in the music industry by providing professional-development opportunities to help prepare students for full-time employment."

The application period opens today (9/5) and will close on 10/6. The recipients will be announced on 10/17. To apply for the Quinn Coleman Memorial Scholarship, head here.
