FOITEL GOES AWAL

AWAL has appointed Chris Foitel SVP of A&R. He'll be based in the L.A. offices, where he'll report to President Pete Giberga.

"I've known Chris since the start of his A&R career, and what he's accomplished is pretty remarkable," Giberga said. "He's able to consistently sign artists that are commercially competitive while not compromising their credibility—a very tough balance to manage. I couldn’t be happier that he is here at AWAL, and I look forward to growing our A&R brand with him."

Foitel was previously VP head of A&R at Epitaph Records. Prior to that, he was head of A&R and then president at Fearless Records.

"I've known both [AWAL CEO] Lonny Olinick and Pete for a long time and I’ve always admired the way they conduct their business and their approach to A&R," Foitel said. "I'm very much looking forward to being a part of and contributing to the next chapter of AWAL.”
