VIRGIN'S FAVORITE NEW POSITION

Virgin Music has struck a partnership with independent publisher, record label and management firm Position Music. Virgin will distribute Position's new releases and catalog of 35,000 songs.

The pact has already kicked off with recent releases by frontline Position artists ¿Téo?, Fantastic Negrito, Kid Bloom, Ryan Oakes, Kyle Dion, Layto, 2WEI and Blackway. Virgin will also provide marketing and promotion services for Position's frontline roster.

“Position Music is at the center of the creative community and is connected with some of the best creative minds in the business,” said Virgin Music President Jacqueline Saturn. “They have an enormous sync business, and they are signing and developing some truly incredible artists. We are so excited to work with their artists and expect big things to come.”

CEO/President of Position Music Tyler Bacon offered, “We are thrilled to partner with Virgin Music. Virgin has worldwide reach and we are confident this relationship will be beneficial in continuing to grow our frontline label."

Other Position acts include Judah & the Lion, Welshly Arms, Jack LaFrantz and TeaMarrr. Since 2019 the company has more than doubled its headcount to 40 full-time employees, including a dedicated 11-person A&R team and a 12-person sync team. Its Burbank campus spans 15,000+ square feet of office space and two recording studios, with four more such world-class facilities under construction, and is arm's length from that shiny new IKEA.
