OAK VIEW GROUP GROWS

Timothy J. Leiweke and Irving Azoff's Oak View Group has appointed Kristina Heney EVP of Marketing, Media & Conferences. In this newly created position, she'll oversee OVG marketing and communications as well as the expanding media and conferences division, including Pollstar and VenuesNow. Haney will be based in New York and report to OVG President, Business Development Francesca Bodie and OVG360 President Chris Granger.

"[Kristina] has demonstrated success in working with global sports and entertainment brands and approaching opportunities with a balance of creativity, and data science and analytics," Bodie said. "With her deep understanding of the live events and experiential industry, we are confident Kristina can continue our substantial growth momentum while transforming the OVG brand story and our Media and Conferences Division to support OVG and our growth vision.”

Prior to joining OVG, Heney spent 15 years with MSGE as SVP of marketing, sales and revenue management as well as at the NBA as senior manager of Global Merchandising Group. She also served as chief marketing & experience officer for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, where she led the global branding, marketing, communications and performance for Cirque du Soleil’s portfolio of 10 brands. Interestingly enough, we've been told we should join the circus more than once.
