The Recording Academy and CBS are teaming up for a star-studded concert celebrating hip-hop's 50th anniversary. Dubbed "A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop," the event will take place 11/8 at the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park and will air 12/10 on CBS at 8:30pm ET/PT. It will be available to stream live and on demand via Paramount+.
Black Thought, Bun B, Common, De La Soul, Jermaine Dupri, J.J. Fad, The Lady of Rage, LL COOL J, MC Sha-Rock, Monie Love, The Pharcyde, Queen Latifah, Questlove and Rakim, among others, will perform.
"A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop" is being produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment and will be directed by Marcelo Gama. Executive producers include Jesse Collins, Shawn Gee, Dionne Harmon, Claudine Joseph, LL COOL J, Fatima Robinson, Jeannae Rouzan-Clay and Questlove for Two One Five Entertainment.
Tickets can be had via Ticketmaster beginning Saturday (10/14) at 10am PT. Shockingly, we've been told we can attend, but we'll refrain from busting moves of any kind. You're welcome.
