BandLab Technologies is welcoming Drew Silverstein as senior advisor, AI, Innovation and Strategy. An early adopter of human-first AI practices, Silverstein comes to the Singapore-based company from Shutterstock, where he was VP of music, and is also the co-founder and former CEO of Amper Music and an award-winning film/TV/video-game composer.

"BandLab's commitment to empowering creators and removing technological barriers aligns perfectly with my values and vision for the responsible integration of AI in music and I look forward to continuing this exciting journey with them," goes a quote from Silverstein, who will report to COO Ivan Chen.

"His friendship and advice over the years has already contributed significantly to our global AI music leadership today and this is the perfect time for him to officially join the band," reads a statement from CEO/co-founder Meng Ru Kuok of Silverstein.

BandLab Technologies launched a new website in August to serve as a central hub for the company’s diverse music technology offerings. From BandLab and Cakewalk to ReverbNation and Airbit, the outfit is a one-stop shop for music creators. A recent $25m Series B1 funding round raised the company's valuation to $425m.
