Piper Ferguson has long been one of our favorite music photographers, so when we heard she finally had a book of her work coming out, we immediately cleared a space on our very cluttered coffee table.
Indie/Seen: The Indie Rock Photography of Piper Ferguson, published by Weldon Owen and distributed by Simon & Schuster, boasts a foreword by Johnny Marr and a dazzling array of pics, a few of which appear below.
In addition to her sizzling snaps, the tome showcases Piper's vivid observations about her subjects (re: Primal Scream: "Imagine music that makes you want to do bad things") and revisits her adventures in the male-dominated rock scene of the '90s and early 2000s.
The book's debut will be celebrated with an 11/7 L.A. launch party featuring plenty of music and, we don't doubt, style to burn. Details on that here.
