Green Day will embark on a massive summer tour that will take the trio to more than two dozen North American ballparks and stadiums and a host of huge European venues.
The shows will follow the 1/19 release of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool’s 14th studio album, Saviors (Reprise). Two songs, “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and "Look Ma, No Brains!," are out now.
The tour will be a career-spanning celebration, as this year marks the 30th anniversary of Crush-managed Green Day’s 1994 breakout smash, Dookie, and 20th anniversary of 2004’s cultural phenomenon American Idiot.
Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas will guest on the Live Nation-promoted North America run, which starts 7/29 in Washington, D.C., then stops 8/3 at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, on 8/30 at Nashville’s Geodis Park and 9/14 at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium before wrapping 9/28 in San Diego.
The European leg precedes the North American trek, running from 5/30 in Monte do Gozo, Spain, until 6/29 at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Pre-sales for the North American dates begin Tuesday (11/7). Sign up for Green Day’s mailing list by Tuesday to get first access to pre-sale tickets. The general on-sale starts 11/10.
