GRAMMY MUSEUM DOLES OUT $200K IN GRANTS

The Grammy Museum Grant Program has selected 14 recipients of $200k in grants to facilitate a range of research, archiving and preservation programs.

Among the recipients are NYU, The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, The Philadelphia Jazz Legacy Project and the archives of jazz musician Wadada Leo Smith and Detroit entrepreneur Johnnie Mae Matthews.

The Recording Academy Grammy Museum has awarded more than $8.3 million to 479 grantees.

"It's our vision to lead in creating a world in which shared love of music sparks curiosity, creativity and community,” said museum President/CEO Michael Sticka. “We are honored to help these incredible projects continue to inspire the music, science and technology world of tomorrow.”
