RED BULL RECORDS SIGNS JAMES VICKERY

Red Bull Records has signed South London breakout James Vickery. The R&B singer-songwriter, who’s breaking barriers as a partially deaf musician, first made waves with his 2018 COLORS session, which garnered 35m+ views. Earlier this year, he dropped his critically acclaimed EP Overture, featuring heavyweights like Kenny Beats and SG Lewis.

Vickery is the fifth artist to sign with the label this year. He joins Chris LaRocca, Joony, Jay Millian and rouri404, among others.

"I've been patiently waiting for the perfect partner to take my music to the next level of my career—the moment I met [SVP/Head of A&R] Kenny Salcido, [MD] Greg Hammer and the rest of the Red Bull team, I knew instantly it would be the ideal home for me,” said Vickery.

“We have one of the most musically diverse rosters on the independent-label landscape and we’re so excited to bring James Vickery into the fold. His raw talent is undeniable, both onstage and as a songwriter,” added Hammer.
