SHAZAM PREDICTS THE FUTURE

Shazam has unveiled its annual predictions, 50 tracks by artists expected to break through in 2024. The selections highlight 21 countries and span French pop to contemporary gospel, including Kenya Grace, The Last Dinner Party, Bloody Civilian, Flyana Boss and RIIZE. Peep the playlist here.

The Apple-owned company also spotlighted a quintet of artists making waves regionally: aupinard (France), JACOTÉNE (Australia), SIRA (Germany), Sukha (India) and Yarge (Venezuela).

In 2023 80% of the artists on the list reached Apple Music’s daily Top 100. Seven of the 50 appeared on Shazam’s global Top 200, among them Stephen Sanchez, who rose to #6 in January of 2023, Ice Spice, who hit #6 in March of last year and Young Miko, who rose to #58 in April. On average, Shazam’s 2023 class had a 167% year-over-year increase in Shazams compared to 2022.

Shazam uses its predictive data and algorithms, coupled with the expertise of Apple Music’s global editorial team, to single out artists who display early indicators of future growth as well as early and consistent momentum in Shazam activity.
