Paramount’s musical version of Mean Girls is eyeing a $33.2m take at the four-day box office this MLK weekend.

The film of the Broadway adaptation of the 2004 film took in $28m domestically and added another $6.5m from 16 territories over the Friday-Sunday stanza. Action-thriller The Beekeeper opened in second place with $16.8m over the weekend with an estimated $19m through Monday.
