In a sleepy weekend at the nation’s cinemas, Mean Girls added $11.7m in its second weekend to take its domestic box office tally to $50m.

The weekend’s lone new release, Bleecker Street’s I.S.S., brought in $3m from 2,520 theaters. Anyone but You, which pulled in $5.4m this weekend, has topped $100.2m worldwide, making it the highest grossing R-rated rom-com since 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby.

  1. Mean Girls (Paramount): $11.7m total; 3,826 screens; $3,058 average per screen (Week 2)
  2. The Beekeeper (Amazon MGM): $8.5m total; 3,330 screens; $2,547 average per screen (Week 2)
  3. Wonka (Warner Bros.): $6.44m total; 3,136 screens/$2,053 average per screen (Week 6)
  4. Anyone But You (Columbia): $5.4m total; 2,928 screens/$1,844 average per screen (Week 5)
  5. Migration (Universal): $5.3m total; 3,094 screens/$1,712 average per screen (Week 5)
