This year has been a prime time for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: The 2023 Induction Ceremony, which aired live in November on Disney+ and was shown New Year’s Day on ABC, pulled in 13m viewers across platforms.
Airing for the first time on a broadcast network, the R&RHOF shindig was the highest-rated ceremony since 2004 and the highest among people 18-49. The induction was also ABC's top-rated primetime show on New Year’s Day. The total includes broadcast numbers and streams on Disney+ and Hulu.
“Moving to our new home at Disney has taken the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to a new level of awareness and engagement with audiences around the world,” said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “They have a true understanding of music and the ability to deliver record viewership.”
