Water & Music founder Cherie Hu will teach music-industry business models, emerging technologies and related topics at Syracuse University in her new role as a professor of practice at Syracuse’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, beginning this fall under the aegis of the Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries. Hu is currently an adjunct instructor at Newhouse, where her work revolves around music-industry social media and data.
Water & Music produces research, online courses and events on music-tech innovation. Hu will continue with the platform in a strategic capacity.
“I look forward to bringing real-world insights and innovative practices on music and tech into the Newhouse classroom," she said, "crafting dynamic and enriching learning experiences for the next generation of industry leaders."
