ERAS TOUR HEADS TO DISNEY+

Taylor Swift has teamed up with Disney+ for the exclusive premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) on 3/15.

An extended version of The Eras Tour has been available for rent on other streamers, but Disney+ will be the official online home of the Sam Wrench-directed concert film, with five previously unavailable songs on offer.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed the release date today (2/7) during the company's Q1 fiscal year 2024 earning-results webcast—the stock went up to 106.63 after hours—but kept the new songs under wraps. Disney+, however, disclosed that the film will include "Cardigan" and four acoustic surprises (the artwork, it would appear, gave up the game).

Disney+ is already streaming Swift's documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour grossed $261.7m globally, making it the top-selling concert film of all time. The Eras Tour itself is the biggest-selling concert tour of all time, projected to surpass $2b before all is said and done (it was the first to reach $1b).

The launch on Disney+ precedes the arrival of The Tortured Poets Department, Tay's next album of all-new material, due 4/19.
