Live Nation President of Global Touring and Chairman of Concerts Arthur Fogel will be honored with The Elizabeth Taylor Commitment to End AIDS Award at The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation's second annual gala, 5/8 at the Rainbow Room in New York.
The award recognizes Fogel's longtime support of initiatives to wipe out HIV. "I'm honored and humbled to receive this award and I look forward to a great event to support the Foundation," he said.
Supported by presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences, Inc., the gala will see a performance by an as-yet-unannounced artist. Proceeds will benefit ETAF's mission to create an AIDS-free world. For more information, email [email protected].
Fogel, who won International Promoter of the Year last night (2/7) at the Pollstar Awards, has been associated with some of the biggest global tours of all time, beginning with the Rolling Stones' groundbreaking Steel Wheels outing and including mega-treks by the likes of U2, David Bowie, Beyoncé, Madonna, Lady Gaga and many more.
"I absolutely have had the opportunity to work with some great live performers, and that’s probably why I’ve stayed engaged and excited right through to today," the Beverly Hills-based Ottawa native told HITS in 2022.
