UPDATE: MUNI LONG'S "MADE FOR ME" ON THE MOVE
UPDATE: Muni Long's latest single, "Made for Me" (Supergiant/Def Jam), has jumped nine spots at iTunes, landing at #25. It's also on the move at Spotify U.S., climbing six berths to #109. Will it continue to soar? Stay tuned while we keep an eye on this one. Meanwhile, we still haven't figured out who we're made for.
Muni Long's latest single, "Made for Me" (Supergiant/Def Jam), is making noise.
The song, which went viral last November after Long performed it at the BET Soul Train Awards, has since flown into the Top 5 of the Apple Music Overall Top Songs chart, hit #1 on Apple’s R&B chart, scored a #1 on SoundCloud U.S., alighted at #2 on Shazam U.S. and occupied the #12 spot on YouTube Trending. "Made for Me" continues to average 10m worldwide streams per week on Spotify.
The cinematic video, meanwhile, has amassed more than 8m YouTube views since its 1/17 release. A live version (from the Soul Train Awards) was released to DSPs last week.
Produced by R&B luminary and SoSo Def founder Jermaine Dupri with Bryan Michael Cox, “Made for Me” follows Muni’s Grammy-winning 2021 breakthrough, “Hrs & Hrs," and sets the stage for her forthcoming album (release date TBA).
