A ROOTS PICNIC BOUNTY: WEEZY, ANDRÉ & NAS

Lil Wayne, Jill Scott, André 3000, Nas, Gunna, Victoria Monét and Sexyy Red have signed on for the annual Roots Picnic, which the Philadelphia hip-hop collective will bring 6/1-2 to their hometown's The Mann in Fairmount Park.

Produced by Live Nation Urban, the fest will feature Weezy and The Roots in a tribute to the music of New Orleans, with guest spots from Trombone Shorty and PJ Morton. Babyface, Robert Glasper featuring Yebba, J. Period Live Mixtape featuring Black Thought, Method Man and Redman, Cam’ron, Wale, Tyla, Marsha Ambrosius and Adam Blackstone's Legacy Experience featuring Muni Long and Fantasia will also perform, as will Scarface and Amerie as part of a set from Baller Alert Presents Backyard Band.

For the first time, Questlove and company are also bringing the Picnic to Los Angeles as part of a retrospective show titled Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life. The 6/29 event at the Hollywood Bowl includes throwback favs like Queen Latifah, Common, Digable Planets, Arrested Development, The Pharcyde, Black Sheep and Jungle Brothers.
