TOP 50: YEAT
YIELDS A #1

Field Trip/Capitol’s Yeat gives CMG its first #1 on the HITS Top 50 since new chief Tom March came aboard and the company joined John Janick’s portfolio of West Coast UMG labels. Yeat, who's dropped an LP every February for the last three years, earns his first #1 bow and biggest opening yet as 2093 notches 72k. The Portland-bred rapper's set unseats—by fewer than 200 units—Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s indie collab, VULTURES 1, which has weathered takedowns and distribution drama since its arrival on 2/10.

House Lipman (the seat of Uni’s East Coast portfolio, not coincidentally) holds six of the Top 10 titles, including #3 Morgan Wallen, #4 Noah Kahan and three albums from Taylor Swift at #6, #7 and #9. Drake’s For All the Dogs (OVO) rises to #8.

Bob Marley & The WailersLegend (Tuff Gong/Island) vaults to #17 as Paramount’s biopic Bob Marley: One Love, which opened with a box office #1, inspires fans to revisit the reggae trailblazer’s legendary catalog.

Streeting this week are new titles by JYP/Imperial/Republic’s TWICE, Mom+Pop’s MGMT, 5020’s Residente and Coke Boys/gamma.’s French Montana.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, our 200th listen to the Beyoncé song has convinced us to get fitted for a Stetson. Go to the full chart here.
