Top Dawg Entertainment founder-boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith has moved into the front rank of music-world entrepreneurs thanks to his loving development and canny oversight of such artists as Kendrick Lamar, SZA and ScHoolboy Q. We’re not exactly sure why the exec consented to an in-depth conversation with us about his L.A. label and management shop—not to mention his incredible backstory—but we jumped at the opportunity. We don’t imagine that appearing on the cover of our sorry rag will be anywhere near the “Top” of his list of accomplishments, though.
