NY POPS TO HONOR CLIVE AT APRIL BASH

The indefatigable Clive Davis, who turns 92 on 4/4, will be the guest of honor at the New York Pops' 41st birthday gala, dubbed "The Soundtrack of Our Lives: A Tribute to the Legendary Clive Davis."

The star-studded bash, set for 4/29 at Carnegie Hall, will feature appearances by Babyface, Toni Braxton, Busta Rhymes, Deborah Cox, Fantasia Barrino Taylor, Kenny G., Melissa Manchester, Barry Manilow, John Mellencamp, Ray Parker Jr., Rob Thomas, Carlos Santana and Dionne Warwick, with more to be announced.

Attendees would be wise to begin memorizing the lyrics to "Smooth," "Copacabana" and the Ghostbusters theme song sooner than later.

Proceeds from the event, which includes a post-concert black tie optional dinner and dance at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, will support the Pops and its PopsEd music-education endeavors. Steven Reineke will serve as musical director and conductor, while co-chairs include Clive's sons Doug and Fred, WME Co-Chairman Richard Weitz and iHeartMedia EVP of Global Music Marketing Alissa Pollack.

Gala tickets can be purchased here, while concert-only tickets are available here.
