FINS UP: MCCARTNEY, BON JOVI SET FOR BUFFETT TRIBUTE

The late Jimmy Buffett had a wealth of famous friends and admirers, and many of them are coming together for "Keep the Party Going," a Live Nation/Hewitt Silva-presented 4/11 tribute event at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl.

Set to appear at this Parrothead dream come true are Paul McCartney, Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Zac Brown, Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow and Jack Johnson, as well as Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, Scotty Emerick, Caroline Jones, Mac McAnally, Jake Owen, Pitbull and Jake Shimabukuro. Kick off those flip-flops and snag tickets starting 3/13.

Buffett died last September at the age of 76 after battling cancer for several years. In 2022, Pollstar reported he'd had grossed $575m over the previous four decades of touring and sold 13.3m tickets, and according to Forbes, his net worth reached $1b, making him one of the world's wealthiest musicians.

His final album, Equal Strain on All Parts, was released two months after his passing and included McCartney among the contributors. Chesney and Brown were instrumental in helping revive Buffett's career at country radio, thanks to their respective guest appearances on the 2004 top 10 hit "Hey Good Lookin'" and 2011's chart-topping "Knee Deep."
